Erica is an Extraordinary Nurse who goes above and beyond to support her co-workers, care for and advocate for her patients, and bring positive change to the unit. Most recently, Erica was caring for a patient who would be transitioning to comfort care measures. The night before the transition of care, Erica spent time with the patient, bathing her, braiding her hair, playing music for her, cleaning up her room; making sure that she would look as close to "mom" or "wife" that her family remembered her as. This speaks volumes of Erica's character, not only as a nurse, but as a human. Her compassion for her patients is unmatched, as is the support she offers to her co-workers. It is truly a privilege to work with a nurse like Erica, who is so compassionate, knowledgeable, and driven.
