Thank you, Erica, for being the frontline of care. Thank you for your compassion, honesty, dedication, and healing touch.
I was sitting in my room area; I had just received not-so-good news from cardio regarding my stress test. They found a couple of issues, and now I am scheduled for a heart Cath; it was very scary for me as I am a single mom and only 43 years old. After losing my son 8 years ago, I have gained so much weight, over 96lbs due to depression and stress.

You can't imagine losing a child at 18 years of age, my first-born son, what it can do to a heart. So, as I sat in my chair crying, blaming myself for this due to weight gain and stress, she came over and reassured me it wasn't my fault and that I am still pretty and could still lose weight if I wanted to. Besides that, she explained the news I just had from cardio and informed me that I have the best cardio team. She explained a little about it to make me feel comfortable, which I afterward did. It was like a load off my chest, and then another nurse from the infusion department heard us talking. She was also a rock star. Thank you, Erica, for being the frontline of care. Thank you for your compassion, honesty, dedication, and healing touch. My family was here afterward, and we thank you for providing an empathetic ear and hand when I received bad news. Thank you again for your care.

I forgot to mention that Erica wasn't assigned to me, and she still went out of her way to make me feel better. I won't forget this, Erica. Thank you, and God bless you.
