Erica Pena, RN
Initiatives/Sacrifice- Erica was the first to volunteer for inpatient redeployment during the COVID pandemic and served in full commitment until the hospital didn't need her service anymore.
Fearless and positive attitude – Erica always turns a negative occurrence into an opportunity for a positive change. Always exudes positive energy and whenever an issue arises, she approaches it with a problem-solving mindset instead of complaints.
Conflict resolution. -- Whether small or large in any situation, she takes the role and attitude of resolving conflicts.
Dignity/Respect -- treats everyone with a pleasant smile and respect. Communicates clearly keeping in mind all cultural, socioeconomic, and demographical differences of many patients in our diverse population.
Excellence -- constantly engages in learning new knowledge, skills, and system policy updates diligently. Takes on projects and steps up to lead projects to the highest level of her skills.
Diligence -- goes above and beyond to assist doctors and patients to ensure clear communication and safe transitions.
