One of the hardest things my dad has experienced with this readmission is his loss of self-toileting. He is embarrassed, yet Erica has been so professional. She has acknowledged his feelings, changed him, his bedding, his clothing, washed him, and applied barrier cream to prevent further infection. Her empathy, and attention to every detail…..clean tubing, trach care, tube feeding awareness, and just quality care has eased the family’s anxiety as well as my dad's.
