Erica has been the bedside nurse for a number of my complicated medial patients recently. She is compassionate, organized, responsive and incredibly dedicated to her patients and families. One of her patients was nearing end of life and Erica was an amazing advocate to provide understanding to the family and to discuss need for treatment with me. She routinely goes above and beyond and deserves this recognition for her excellent care.

She was perfect. She helped explain what my mother-in-law was going through and how she was feeling. My mother-in-law passed away on the 18th and Erica was a very kind and caring nurse and has a heart of gold, very compassionate. Thank you for making a difficult day a little more bearable!!

My Mom was in PCU room B512 from Friday, Feb. 15th through Monday, Feb. 23rd. She was 93 years old and was suffering from the effects of poorly functioning kidneys (lungs filling with fluid, etc.). Erica was on dayshift when my Mom died on the 23rd.

I can't tell you how much it means to me--an only child--to have had a nurse like Erica on duty caring for my Mom when she passed away. Erica took INITIATIVE that I did not know to take to provide excellent care for my Mom. She even politely and respectfully offered alternative ideas to those that had been presented. Dr. Clark agreed with her, and due to Erica's competent thinking, compassion, and initiative, we headed down a slightly different medical path that helped my Mom to suffer less in her final hours.

Erica was supremely professional, competent, caring, compassionate, communicative--everything we could have hoped for in a nurse, ESPECIALLY one on duty when your loved one dies. We have told her this; please, you communicate this to her, also. This is the kind of behavior, attitude, thinking, speech, compassion we need in our caregivers. I know; I am a pastor who cares for many suffering people. Erica is a great example. I am very proud of her and so pleased that my Mom was privileged to be under her care, especially in her last moments of this life.
