Erica Thompson, RN

Erica walked with my dad and family through his final days. She did so with a compassion that was not expected. At the worst of times, her attitude carried us all. She was gentle with my dad when it was needed, and she was stern when he needed a strong voice. Her bedside manner was perfect in more ways than I can describe. Erica advocated for our family by working to make sure my dad’s wishes were met and that all family members were able to spend time with him in his final days. She was clear and forthcoming about his life situation and prepared us for what the journey would entail. We are all convinced that Erica is a special angel sent exclusively for us in those trying times. We have been through this before, but I never realized how a kind, loving, compassionate nurse can have such an impact on the family and patient. Erica showed us a side of nursing that we didn’t know existed. There are no words to properly express my gratitude to her in these hard times.
