Ericka Due, RN

Ericka had a patient who had been in our unit for a while. She found out one morning the patient's wife had a birthday that day. She called a local grocery store and had a cake, card, candles, and roses delivered for the patient to give to his wife. This was their first time celebrating her birthday since they were married only about 3 to 4 months prior. This is one of the most compassionate things I've ever seen a nurse do and Ericka is known for going above and beyond for her patients.
