Ericka is a very special person to me. I don't even know where to begin to tell you about the attributes that make her so special. First, my family adored her. She's taken time to talk to them, explain to them, and include them in my health and care. Second, she had been so wonderful to me and has always gone the extra mile.
During this admission, I was feeling a little fatigued; so, I took a little nap. An hour later, I was awakened out of a very sound sleep with a pain in my chest, unlike any pain I had ever experienced in my life. Ericka knew immediately what to do and sprang into action, calling her supervisor and doing what was necessary to calm my breathing. She held my hand, and by doing so, made me know she really cared for me. Ericka has laughed with me and cried with me. She's quick with a smile or a joke but always knows the acceptable time for them. I love Ericka very much for her compassion and want everyone to know what a wonderful person and nurse she really is!
