My friend and bandmate informed me about how Ericka saved his oldest son's life on a Saturday at the Minnesota State Fair. "Ericka is a savior." His son collapsed at the fair and had a seizure. Ericka happened to be there and took over. His fiancé was extremely worried, and Ericka just did nothing but help. There happened to be several other emergencies occurring at the same time, so EMS was delayed. Ericka stayed with the couple for forty-five minutes until EMS arrived.

"God bless her. Please let Ericka know how much we appreciate her help. You all (nurses) rock in my mind. We are eternally grateful for what Ericka did that day."

Regarding the event, Erica stated, "It was a very scary moment for him and his fiancé. He even lost his pulse briefly and I gave compressions. I am so glad he is okay!" This was Ericka's first-time performing CPR!
