I was contacted by Ericka regarding a patient that had been transferred from College Station to us at Children's. She was diligent in learning about her patient's clinical course at the outside facility and contacted us regarding her medications. The patient had received a small dose of the medication in College Station, but the same medication had been ordered to be given again. Ericka started a chain of events that led to the most appropriate dose for the indication. She sets an amazing example of communication and coordination of care!
