I have brought my adult daughter H to the ER on numerous occasions and Erik has been our nurse on a few of those occasions. He has always been kind, considerate, efficient and attentive to her needs.
He was particularly cognizant of our distress by "anticipating" H's needs before we even asked. Erik worked quickly and efficiently with her wound, made sure that necessary paperwork was complete without taking away from her care, and all while showing compassion and concern for her well-being. The warm blanket, TV remote and offers of making her comfortable were little extras that made the ER experience much less scary under trying circumstances. He is a prime example of the excellence of care at IU.
