Erika has been with St. David's Round Rock Medical Center for over 11 years. Erika is very thorough and attentive to her patients, making sure they receive the best possible care. She was nominated for a DAISY award for the remarkable assistance she provided to a patient, who was given the wrong dosage of critical medicine by their personal pharmacy. Upon realizing this, Erika obtained the correct medication and supplies from our Pharmacy. The dosage that was given by the external pharmacy was too low for the patient's needs and would have caused hospitalization if left unchanged. Without Erika's intervention the patient would not have been able to receive their scheduled transplant. For this, and other acts of compassion with patients, we are proud to honor Erika with the DAISY Award.
