My aunt was a direct admit to Ellis from complications from her surgery 3 weeks prior. Her condition deteriorated, and she was placed on a ventilator. I was very concerned and even feared that she would not make it through the night. I went home to care for my pets with the intent to stay overnight. That is when I met Erica Johnston. The competency, compassion, incredible skill set demonstrated by Erika, and communication with our family and my Aunt, easily convinced me that my Aunt was in good hands and clearly the best place to get better. All of our questions were answered, and complicated medical things explained so we understood. There was no reason for me to camp out in the waiting room. I am very grateful to Erika who was outstanding!
