The day after my grandma passed, I came to work to get report from Erika on a comfort care patient whose family was not here. Erika made this man's last days so memorable. Assuring he was comfortable, clean and pain-free. Erika brought his favorite snacks in and let him use her phone to listen to his favorite music all night. This is a very small example of what an attribute Erika is to our unit! The most relatable, nonjudgmental person who is such a wealth of knowledge to the CICU. Nurses like Erika are the reason why nurses have such good reputations and are thought highly of! She truly touches the lives of every patient and person she crosses paths with.
