I sincerely wanted to extend my gratitude to Erika for her thorough understanding of patient care. This comprehension, I believe stems from product and industry knowledge where she effortlessly bridges the patient/doctor clarity gap. For example, the doctor came in and gave the pending directives for my care. As soon as he departed, Erika effortlessly, not missing a beat, gave a much more clear explanation of what was to be done. That dissemination immediately gave me peace. I was going to be all right, the fear left. Thank you, Erika! The way in which she remembered details was uncanny; medication names and doses, the reactions, and how I personally may be affected. This reiterated to me that she studied me as a real person, not just another patient. I appreciated that. Erika carefully analyzed my reports noting the need for potassium and magnesium. She is an Extraordinary Nurse - wow! She demonstrated the mission of Stormont Vail by 'working together' with the team of doctors focusing on the fine, very important details of my care. I am well aware that within the scope of 12 hours, there's a great deal to accomplish, however, she (for the past 2 days) has remained calm and peace-giving, thus making me feel and believe that I am that important. Bravo! The industry of nursing is truly, truly blessed with the existence of Erika. I am forever grateful.
