Erika Swain, RN

My mom had a stroke and was admitted to Boston Medical Center ICU. She was moved to the step-down unit when she improved. Eventually being moved to 7 West. Erica Swain was assigned to take care of Mom. The whole family agrees that all the staff members we interacted with were very professional and appeared to be very knowledgeable. But Erica Swain went over and above all the staff. She was the most compassionate nurse we encountered. She showed the true meaning of care for a person who is going through what Mom was going through. She gave the family the same care and compassion. The dignity and respect she gave Mom and the family was beyond what we expected. She answered all our questions with the information she was able to give us, and had a doctor explain what she couldn't. There are a lot of unbelievable people working on that floor giving of themselves, and they are all so special. Erica Swain stood out beyond the rest of the people we interacted with.
