December 2023 Honoree
Erin Alesch, BSN, RN
Erin made my daughter and I feel not only comfortable but safe. We had the pleasure of her caring for us for two days. As with many hospital visits, this was completely unexpected. As a Nurse, you are taught to advocate for your patients, and she exemplified this behavior. She was also confident and thorough with her assessments and communicated her findings and observations with the care team.
I could not have asked for a better Nurse. I understand the obstacles that Nurses face, especially with burnout, but she never reflected that in her care. As a scared mom, I felt completely at ease that my daughter would be fine and well taken care of despite what her vitals displayed. It takes a special person to do this job. It takes an extraordinary person to do this job and show the concern and compassion that Erin does. I felt that she loved my daughter like family in just a short amount of time.
