My colonoscopy experience was very pleasant considering this was my first time for this procedure. I was very nervous, but Erin eased my mind and everything went well. It was after the procedure that stressed me out more than anything.

Upon calling my ride, the nurses were unable to reach him. Nurse Erin even tried calling from her personal phone to no avail, he was still not answering. They also tried texting him and that did not work either. At this point, I began to worry that something had happened to him and because I was told not to bring any valuables, I did not have my phone with me (which turned out to be a good thing). I could not for the life of me remember any phone numbers for friends or family so Nurse Erin let me call a friend at work, but she was not available. I sat down in my room worried and scared and a little embarrassed as it seemed other nurses kind of looked at me sideways due to the situation. Not Nurse Erin; she came into my room and reassured me that she would keep trying for me and even said she would give me a ride if that's what it came down to.

She then asked if she called my phone if I thought my ride would answer it and that worked. Finally, I was relieved to know he answered, and everything would be okay. Once he picked me up, my fear turned to anger, and I accused him of not answering his phone. When he handed me his phone to show me, he had not received any calls or texts. I was still in disbelief. When we got home, I called him from my phone as he stood next to me, and his phone did not ring. I texted him and he did not get it. After spending two hours at US Cellular his calls and texts finally came through.

So, I'd like to thank Nurse Erin from the bottom of my heart for not passing judgment, not giving up, and most of all for her kind words of support. She is very good at her job, and I hope that she is recognized for it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
