I was a patient of Erin's two different hospital stays. She had me at least twice during both stays. She stood out to me because she helped me feel at ease by talking to me about general things, like TV shows, kids, where we both are from and our families. Being in the hospital can be very lonely, but Erin helped and made me feel like I had a friend who visited me several times throughout the day. Additionally, Erin was an excellent advocate for me. When I was in pain, she didn't hesitate to contact the doctor and also repeatedly page the doctor when they didn't get back to us. She was never dismissive or condescending with my concerns and questions. I have been in the hospital for stays ranging from 2 days - 3.5 weeks over 35 times in the last 7 years. I've had hundreds of nurses and Erin truly stands out as one of the best. She never complained about her job or my requests, even though I'm sure there is much that can be frustrating in this job. She is truly exceptional and made my hospital stay less stressful, less painful, and somehow (considering I'm sick enough to be there) more enjoyable.
