You absolutely need to reward Erin with some recognition for what she did for our daughter who was living alone in Florida when she sustained serious injuries in a car accident. Her first night was spent alone in Halifax under Erin's loving care. My husband and I arrived the next morning. I met Erin a few days later when I was touched at how attentive, caring and tender she was with our daughter who, besides many broken bones, had a concussion, which caused her anxiety and confusion. Erin made sure that her every need was met as well as that she bolstered her self-esteem while giving her hope of total recovery. Erin even offered to let us stay in our daughter's room knowing that we were from Buffalo and staying in a local hotel. We have been here 3 weeks now and our daughter is in Brooks for rehab. Last night, we took her for a ride in her wheelchair to see the 6th floor at Halifax where she had spent over a week. She remembered NOTHING, not even which room she had been in. But she wanted to see if her favorite nurse, Erin, was there. Erin was and saw her coming, she ran over, knelt down to her level, and hugged her, tenderly held her hand and kissed her. It was a beautiful moment for all of us.
