I am a first-time mom, and my 7-week-old baby was her patient.  He came in with RSV and Covid and was sent up to the PICU after choking on mucus and passing out in my arms – if you can imagine how terrifying that is as a parent! 

He spent two days in the PICU with Erin as his nurse.  Erin was beyond attentive and made sure everything and everyone was taken care of.  During his second day in the PICU he was taken off a sedative that kept him calm and comfortable.  The first day after waking up, my boy screamed and cried for four hours straight.  Erin did not leave his side for the entire time.  She did everything she knew to try and calm and comfort my boy, and when nothing worked, she just stayed by our side to make sure he didn’t choke and pass out again.   

She handled a very scary and stressful situation beautifully.  She stayed late that day to make sure I was mentally okay, and then bright and early the next morning, she was back in our room!  Erin is extraordinary at her job and made a hospital ICU stay with our newborn a little easier.  I am forever grateful and will always remember how well she treated our baby!
