When we took our 14th-month-old to the hospital, we certainly did not know that we would be admitted and that we would be in for one the scariest weeks of our lives as parents. After several different difficult medical procedures, we had become very aware that not all caregivers are created equal. The first time Erin showed that she is truly a compassionate caregiver was when my baby had a total diaper explosion and I had to call and get a second set of hands. Our baby was so afraid of everyone and I was afraid to leave him to shower, but Erin put me at ease that it would be ok, and while I took a moment for myself, I could hear her singing Frozen to my baby. She was so invested in putting our baby at ease and took extra time to support us when we had to make difficult decisions. She stood with us and supported us as parents with her kind spirit and truly kept us feeling that our baby had a strong ally on his side. Our week would have been even more frightening without her. She is exactly what a parent hopes for when these scary moments happen in life. Thank you, Erin.
