Erin showed me the most special care, spending so much time being supportive, encouraging, and helping me.
I cannot express how much gratitude I have for this nurse, All of my nurses were fantastic but I have to say, "Erin really went the extra mile with me and my newborn. My newborn was not latching. I was frustrated, he was hungry, for a moment there, actually many different times, I just wanted to give up. Erin showed me the most special care, spending so much time being supportive, encouraging, and helping me. We hand expressed colostrum and she spoon-fed it to my little guy! He was hours away from hitting that "must urinate in 24 hours after delivery, so spoon-feeding him ensured he was eating and got him to urinate. After that, I pumped my colostrum and she syringe-fed my baby while I was trying to help him latch which helped! All of this was very time-consuming for her on days where I'm told the floor was completely full of patients! She didn't have to do these things, but she did. She is the reason why I didn't give up and continued to try and breastfeed. On the second day of being home, I was finally able to successfully breastfeed my baby and we have been going strong ever since. This is only thanks to Erin who helped me get there and showed more belief in me than I had in myself. Erin is an Angel. I'm thankful she was my nurse and that is an understatement. Erin is proof that good people in the world do exist. This letter doesn't put it into perspective enough. It just doesn't do her justice. Erin is awesome!!!!!
