Mrs. Carmean was pulling out of the Office Annex parking lot when she saw me and a coworker struggling with another colleague who was having a seizure in the parking lot of the Ronald McDonald House. My coworker had turned purple and was not breathing at that moment. She instantly jumped into action, telling us to turn him onto his left side. She knelt on the hard pavement, holding his head in her hands and reassuring him that everything would be okay. She continued to do this until the ambulance arrived to take over. If it had not been for her timely arrival, my friend would have passed away in my arms. Her quick actions saved his life. She also visited his room that night to check on him, demonstrating her caring and loving nature.
