Erin Chapman goes above and beyond every day here at the Stress Center and the main hospital. Erin is our educator, but she is available for any number of activities and needs on the units. If there is a staffing issue, Erin has been available to come in. When education is needed, she is happy to provide it always thinking of new ways to present things to staff to keep them interested. Erin has spearheaded many opportunities for continuing education credits for social workers and nurses alike. Erin offers education opportunities at multiple times, and places to help ensure that the most staff members can attend. Erin coordinates all of the new employees' orientation schedules and works tirelessly to make schedules to meet peoples' needs and ensure they have the best introduction to the Stress Center possible.
Erin takes on extra responsibilities to make meeting our mandatory education expectations are as seamless as possible. For example, Erin became a CPR instructor to offer CPR renewal to our employees at a variety of different times allowing for night shift and day shift to renew with ease. Erin is certified in placing PPD's, and is in the process of becoming trained in certifying people to place PPD's to make more availability for people to be certified at the Stress Center. Erin did all of the respirator fit testing for the Stress Center as well, because she was motivated to attend the training to administer the test. If Erin is asked to educate, assist, or develop any education, program, or any other need that the Stress Center has, she is always willing to help. Erin is the kind of employee that gets to the Stress Center before anyone else, and is one of the last people to leave at the end of the day. She completes tasks like leadership rounding and attending all of the treatment teams as well as continuing her responsibilities as educator.
Erin is one of the people here at the Stress Center that everyone goes to for information, assistance with decision making, and a variety of other things because she is someone who always says "yes"; someone who is always willing to help our employees find answers and better ways of doing things. She is always thoughtful in how to use resources, and knows where and who to go to if she doesn't have the answer. Erin is a very loyal employee that is willing to assist our staff and our patients in whatever their needs are. I am sure Erin will continue to grow and be an integral part of the Stress Center for many years to come. It is a pleasure working with her, and our staff and our patients are very lucky to have such a dedicated team member.
