Erin was nominated by a teenage patient's mother for providing compassionate care to her daughter while she was a patient in the emergency department. The mother related that Erin took her time, talked to her, and calmed her down when she became anxious. She stated "Because of the compassion and care shown by this incredible nurse, my daughter was able to relax and undergo the treatment necessary. All nurses are special, but this one is extra special".
