She came into my room often, not just because it was her job but because she wanted me to know I was not forgotten and that she hadn't quit trying to find solutions. She felt true compassion for me.
I came to the BSA ER after being told to by Urgent Care. I thought I had broken a part of my leg and that I would leaving in a cast, but it turned out that I had deep vein thrombosis and was admitted. Erin showed concern for my situation immediately. She was perplexed that there were no orders for me after so much time had passed since my diagnosis, and reassured me that the doctor was making her rounds and was hopeful that I would have orders soon. She was very concerned that I hadn’t eaten since Sunday afternoon or had anything to drink since the morning before and I wasn't on IV fluids. She seemed very upset by it and wanted to make me better. She came into my room often, not just because it was her job but because she wanted me to know I was not forgotten and that she hadn't quit trying to find solutions. She felt true compassion for me. Erin is very kind-hearted. I don't know why she chose to fight on my behalf so hard or if she simply treats all of her patients that way. Afternoon, she came in and let me know that she had written a lengthy message to my doctor, and had confidence that there would be results any time now. A few hours later, Erin came into the room glowing. She was so excited and smiling big as she spoke. She said I was on the schedule for surgery. I'm certain she was more relieved than I was. She was joyfully telling me that as soon as I came out of surgery, I could have anything I wanted to eat or drink. I didn't have any family there with me, and Erin waited past her shift to make sure I was ok. I'm very grateful to Erin. I thank the Lord Jesus for creating a beautiful person like her. Thank you, Erin.
