A patient presented with chest pain and the initial EKG did not show anything. However, Erin's triage assessment and the monitor showed abnormal changes enough to cause concern. Erin promptly ordered a repeat EKG, which did show that the patient was acute. This patient was taken to the Cath Lab and received immediate treatment. Erin's excellent assessment and nursing care may have saved this patient's life!

A patient submitted a DAISY Nomination for Erin, because of the excellent nursing care received the entire time while being seen in the ED. The patient shared that Erin's performance and attitude were excellent, easing any anxiety they may have experienced. All ED Nurses should learn from Erin. She was primo!! Great job!!
