She makes meaningful connections with not just her direct reports but all team members and provides us with an emotionally safe place to be heard, seen, and respected.
It is with great pleasure that we nominate our Director of Nursing, Magnet and Pathway Program Director, Dr. Erin Glover for the DAISY Nurse Leader Award.
Erin is an exemplary, compassionate nurse leader, mentor, and colleague with whom we feel privileged to work each day. She makes meaningful connections with not just her direct reports but all team members and provides us with an emotionally safe place to be heard, seen, and respected.
She is gracious and understanding while remaining dedicated to quality patient care and professionalism. Her financial foresight has allowed opportunities for team members throughout the year. One such example was her advanced planning for nineteen team members to attend the Magnet & Pathway to Excellence Conference last fall. Erin was instrumental to WH achieving Pathway to Excellence designation and is now leading our Magnet Journey.
Her thoughtfulness and inclusiveness can be felt throughout Windy Hill. Her recent suggestion to include celebrating the life and legacy of Mary Eliza Mahoney, the first African American Nurse to complete a US nursing program, mattered to so many team members. Many were just learning of Mary for the first time and took pictures of Mary’s biography, which was present during Nurse Week.
Thank you, Erin, for being such an inclusive, equitable, and steadfast leader for all of us. We love you!
