After my husband's third emergency hospitalization in five months, twice with septic shock, she recognized and responded not only to my husband's immediate and vital medical requirements but used this situation to calmly and professionally model not only excellent medical response and protocol to a newly minted nurse but to impart a very calm sense of stabilizing the anxiety for both my husband and myself, knowing that we knew the seriousness of the situation. She did all of this with grace, energy, and humor. As she worked, we knew we were in excellent hands both medically and emotionally. A remarkable feat for someone still so young. We hope she continues to share her gifts for many years.
