...Erin has continually shown her leadership during emergencies and is always caring with exceptional communication during emergent events. She is also very flexible. As one of our two MBU night shift nurses trained to recoveries, she has to be ready to float at a moment's notice when her skill set is needed. On the last shift I worked, she was pulled from her full patient assignment to assist L&D with recoveries due to their emergent need-she did this with a smile. Her willingness to go the extra mile is truly appreciated.

As a relief charge nurse, Erin has taken on an additional leadership role in our unit. Recently, she had to deal with a very complex patient situation. She did so with grace and leadership that should be commended. Her exemplary communication during this incident assisted in making a situation that could have had a negative outcome into one that had a positive outcome with a follow-up plan. This is what nursing is about; working to develop a plan in complex situations to ensure that the care and safety of your patients is upheld.
