July 2011 Honoree
erin salmond, RN
Erin Salmond is the DAISY Honoree this month. She started her nursing career in the critical care division after completing the Earn and Learn program in 2007. She has since become the co-chair of the Quality & Safety Nursing Council, a permanent critical care charge and a rapid response nurse.
The following is an excerpt from her nomination letter. “I can’t count the number of times a shift Erin is in a patient’s room that she is not assigned to. If a nurse is struggling or if a patient status is declining, Erin will be the first nurse there to lend a hand”.
