October 2018 Honoree
erin savinov, BSN, RN
After entering this unit and having a couple of bad experiences, Erin entered. I lost my first roommate for another one, but I hung in there. When her one year old visited, obviously sick, and she admitted (my roommate) that he, in fact, had a fever, I felt that there was no hope. Almost instantly, Erin asked me to sit in a corner of the hospital and brought 2 ice waters "as a toast!". She sat there and explained that she was having a private room cleaned and I would not have to return to that room. She carried all of my flowers and belongings to my new room with the view of a Guardian Angel. Erin restored my faith in God when she entered my room on her day off in her street clothes to deliver to me gifts that she said were: "from Father Solanus". A small prayer book that included a prayer to my Guardian Angel and a coin that said: "to thank God before".
I must focus on the good and that is Erin.

Thank you, Erin, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
