Erin Wamsley, RN, OCN

In my time as a radiation oncologist over the past 30 years, I have rarely had the pleasure of working with such a dedicated, polite radiation oncology nurse who voluntarily assumes the role of so many needed positions in the cancer center. These include simply being a compassionate nurse, social worker, patient navigator, scheduler, and coordinator of care. Erin simply carries out all that is asked of her, including blood draws, port flushes, and starting IVs, often on patients who are not even being treated in radiation oncology. I believe it is quite unusual to work with someone in the medical field who never complains about anything...she just carries out her "job" with little to no recognition day in, day out! It is very refreshing to work in my clinic under these conditions, and it is a large part of the reason I continue to work at Davis.
