When working with her on the floor, you know that you are truly part of a team. She is working hard and when you are behind, she is there to help out. She is the very definition of “good…no great, team member”. She is caring. She is in the rooms, with the patients always. She cares about their needs and gets them addressed. She will not hesitate to do whatever is best/needed for the patients. She truly cares. Makes sure patients get the care they need, when they need it. She is proactive; she doesn’t wait for the doctors to round, if something needs addressed, she addresses it. Patients are touched by her caring ways, and feel comfortable asking questions. Her attitude is amazing….she keeps everyone laughing and makes sure everyone is getting the help they need…co-workers and patients. She contributes so much to our unit, because she cares about the care we give and always wants to take on new tasks and learn new things. She is knowledgeable of so many things, and she takes the time to teach others, especially new staff. She has stayed to make sure new RN’s know how to care for their patients….like recently a patient with a chest tube. She stayed to review the policy with the next RN, demonstrate how to care for it, and answer questions. She is the first to volunteer to help with any new performance improvement endeavor. She is competent, she takes time to ensure things are being done right, and she inspires us to be more! She is wonderful, and we are lucky to have her on our team.
