My nephew underwent a prostatectomy. Erna's disposition and mannerisms were kind and professional. I observed she is caring, thoughtful, mindful, evidence-based in nursing, respectful, and has active listening skills. Although she was handling admissions, she never changed her momentum, tone, or cadence. She took care of my nephew with a personal touch while including me. She exemplified Sentara’s mission statement: We (Erna) improve health every day.
