There is not enough room to truly express the impact Ernesto left on me. I've been a patient of BCH for my chronic disorder for many years and never had a male nurse- Ernesto was my first. I'm complex with multiple health conditions. Ernesto brought hope back for me. He is a ray of sun. I've never had a nurse literally run the halls to get my medicine, doctors, or run to my room within seconds of paging just to make sure his patient was okay and comfortable. Ernesto never showed doubt or lack of faith in me or my condition. Ernesto made me feel as important as if I was a priority. He made sure my enteral feeds were fixed and gave me hope back with myself. He believes in me when I was having trouble believing in myself. Ernesto is so smart and genuine with me and my family. He would spend extra time in my room just to make me laugh. He never made my pain feel invisible, or let me lose hope. This nurse is amazing and incredible.
