Eryn Weinstein, MSN, CCRN

My dad was admitted to the cardiac unit at Swedish Cherry Hill following heart surgery. He was scheduled for a minimally invasive mitral valve repair and ended up having open heart surgery for an aortic valve replacement in addition to the mitral valve repair. He underwent another procedure to have a permanent pacemaker implanted due to a heart block caused by his open-heart surgery. The entire ICU staff was incredibly responsive and attentive to my dad's needs. Eryn went above and beyond in every way. She was efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, compassionate, caring, encouraging, attentive, engaging, and many more qualities.

She made our family feel like family. And created a calming, supportive, and welcoming environment for my dad during a time of unexpected circumstances and immense challenges. I also speak on behalf of my dad in nominating Eryn for a DAISY Award. We want to affirm her efforts and the wonderful work she is so evidently committed to in the cardiac ICU/CCU unit. We are grateful for our time with her and feel blessed by her presence. She is setting a bar for others to reach. Not for the sake of acknowledgment or accolade but by honoring the gifts she's been giving in the field she works. Thank you, Eryn!
