Ester is someone very passionate about making the workplace for all, creating a safe and psychologically safe space where staff can thrive at their full potential.
Ester has been working for Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust since February 2009. The work she has been undertaking for the last few years has been incredible and has had a huge impact on the Organisation.

Ester has a great passion for Staff Experience and is a great believer in being fair and inclusive. She is a great example of the Leeds Way Values in everything she does. She has influenced the formation of the Staff Experience workstream within the Professional Development Team. She has worked above and beyond to ensure staff within LTHT felt supported and can bring their best self to work. She shaped the Occupational English Test (OET) portfolio for staff that oversees nursing qualifications wanting to be registered with the NMC.

Ester has also played a huge part in bringing Race Equity Masterclasses, a bespoke programme for managers to the Organisation. Ester's contributions are countless and have had a huge impact on staff from a BAME background to help support them with their career development and cultural integration. Ester provides a lot of pastoral care to staff and has gone above and beyond to spend quality time and attention on each staff concern to reach a positive resolution.

From her lived experience, she edited and published a book "Amplifying Voices, Mending Divides". We have had feedback from managers on the positive impact this book has had on them. Ester has also won the Nursing Times Workforce Award 2022 for the category "Diversity and Inclusion Champion of the Year". Ester has formerly been the co-chair of the BME network and has taken all positive steps to end acts of racism within LTHT.

Ester is someone very passionate about making the workplace for all, creating a safe and psychologically safe space where staff can thrive at their full potential. Ester is someone with great perseverance, passionate about making positive changes and being influential, and is a change maker.
