My father was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 60 and was admitted to the hospital for two weeks for treatment. We were overwhelmed with worry and fear about his health condition, but RN Esteve worked hard with my father and reassured us continuously about how he was doing. Esteve explained the progress of the radiation therapy and how it would begin, and he accompanied my father every time he was taken for his radiation sessions. Esteve was genuinely concerned about my father’s comfort, cared for him with dedication, and never showed any fatigue or frustration. He also sensed how worried we were, so he would come to us regularly to update us on my father’s health and his daily treatment progress. We saw how kindly Esteve interacted with my father—trying to speak with him in Arabic, making him laugh, and easing his anxiety whenever they transported him by ambulance to the radiation therapy department. I am deeply grateful to Esteve for the exceptional care, dedication, and effort.
