I hope that other nurses will look at her and want to do their job like her.
This is a critical state for a person to be where I’m at. It was the first time I was in a situation where small things counted. When I eat, when I go to the bathroom, when I sleep, who comes to visit me? Those might seem like small things, but in this situation, every little thing that goes with this becomes huge because you’re totally exposed. With Esther, from the minute she walked into my room, she was cheerful. I didn’t feel like everything I needed was a chore. As she walks into my room each time, she’s cheerful. She makes me feel like I’m not a pain in the rear end. And everything I need, she does with a great attitude. She acts like even the gross things are not gross. Not one time has she made me feel like I was in her way, making my bed or using the restroom. I hope that other nurses will look at her and want to do their job like her. She’s a true professional
