I had the pleasure of having Estrella as my nurse for both nights I stayed at Valley Medical Center. Estrella commits to all her patients. She made sure I understood everything that was going on and did her best to make sure I was comfortable. I also noticed Estrella's interactions with her co-workers and that she always offers encouraging feedback and coaching moments. She is never frazzled or taken away from what she was doing when other RNs' and students would stop and ask her questions. Estrella answered all of my calls promptly and never made me feel bad for asking a question or needing assistance.

Being under Estrella's care, I felt that she was the very reliable captain of the ship and it also feels like having a loved aunt care for me. My husband does not like hospitals and he said that if he ever needed to be hospitalized, he hopes Estrella will care for him. Estrella made a difference in how I view hospitals and hospital staff. I never knew how comfortable and hospitable an emergency hospitalization could be until being under the care of Estrella.
