I came into this hospital with a pain level of 9 1/2 out of 10, and I was passing out because of the pain. The emergency admitted me, and thankfully, Ethan was my nurse. I’m nominating for this award, not because he was there when I got out. The reason he should absolutely receive this award is for what Ethan does above and beyond his job description. It stretches into his humanitarianism, empathy, and realistic and honest care for his patients. It’s obvious when you meet Ethan that he is an incredible employee and the person he really is. He actually sat with me and held my arm because I was in so much pain. I was crying and screaming, and with his calm demeanor, he just let me know it was going to be OK and was there until I got stabilized. He was with me for about an hour and a half. I know he has other patients. However, the level of service and commitment that he gave me was more than any nurse I have ever seen in my entire life. If you look at my medical history, you’ll know I’ve had a lot of surgeries, and I’ve been in a lot of hospitals. Two things that I can tell you about my experience with this hospitalization:

1. This is the best hospital I’ve ever been to. The staff here is fantastic. From the people who clean rooms to the people who bring food to you, the nurses, the CNAs, the doctors, house cleaning, and management staff.

2. You have absolute crème de la crème. You will not find a single person who has encountered Ethan who will not tell you he is one of the nicest (if not THE nicest) human beings you will ever meet. I am honored to nominate Ethan for this award.
