Ethan made all the difference to the family as he cared for his patient before she was brought to the OR for organ procurement. The patient’s husband wanted to nominate Ethan for spending 30 hours providing extreme emotional support to him and his two daughter’s ages 19 and 20 as they coped with the catastrophic and sudden loss of their vibrant and healthy 51-year-old wife and mother. Ethan advocated for and supported this family through their difficult journey. Ethan even pushed the patient himself from the CCU to the OR. The family shared that Ethan helped them have some closure and peace at this extremely difficult time.
