Eugene's love for life (and his job) are apparent from the moment he enters the room. His joy, energy, and positive outlook bring a much needed smile of encouragement for parents and patients alike at a difficult time. Gene brings a refreshing end to the stereotypical "grumpy night nurse". Although, I am pretty sure he is the ONLY person enthused to be in the hospital at 2am, his enthusiasm makes 2am doable. I only hope to be able to show others my love for life through the way I do things in the same way that Nurse Gene does. Thank you, Gene, for the 'pep in your step' that brought life to those rough nights!
