July 2025 Honoree
Eunice Wooden, RN
I had to have an emergency C-section because my baby came at 30 weeks' gestation. The baby was admitted to the NICU. All night, the nurse came in to check up on me after delivery. She noticed I couldn't sleep. She said, "Mom, it's not your fault". I felt that in my soul.
I wasn't sure how, but I did feel like that. I had guilt that my body couldn't sustain my baby. This nurse was very kind and empathetic to my situation. I really appreciated it when I needed it the most. I would like to say thank you for taking care of me when I couldn't take care of myself.

Thank you, Eunice, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
