June 2025 Honoree
Eva Imatzu, RN
A doctor told me I was to be released today. When I mentioned this to my nurse, she expressed concern, spoke to another doctor, and got a CT ordered. The results showed that I needed to have the infection in my arm drained. As far as I’m concerned, Eva saved my arm. But on the same note, it possibly prevented me from becoming a cyborg, but I’ll let that slide. But in all seriousness, I’ve only been hospitalized one other time at a different hospital, and it was a horrible experience. So I was apprehensive about my stay here. But my nurse was a fantastic example of what a nurse should be. Eva listened to my concerns and got back to me quickly with answers to my questions. Her experience shows that she actually cares about her patients' well-being. Eva deserves a whole wing named after her. Thank you so much, and your whole nursing team has been amazing.
Thank you, Eva, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
