Eva Lami was the nurse taking care of my uncle during the most traumatic time of our lives. He was admitted with FLU A which quickly progressed to bilateral pneumonia and a vent. Brittany Baxter was his initial nurse who was phenomenal with quick thinking and critical care skills. Uncle K took his last breath and was surrounded by friends and family, but also the great staff who treated him with the utmost respect and care. These nurses become attached to their patients. They not only celebrate the small victories but also hold the family during the devastating turns. Eva, Brittany, and all the other nurses have been true GODSENDS. Those two will always have a special place in our hearts and I will always strive to mimic their passion as I continue my nursing career. When Brittany attended my uncle's funeral on behalf of the other nurses we know without a doubt they will always be a part of us. You are seen, loved, and exactly where God wants you.
