October 2024 Honoree
Eva Toimil, RN
When Eva walked into the room, she remembered me from a previous visit a month prior. Having someone remember you in a setting like that makes you feel heard and cared for. Not only did she remember me, but she also took care of me. I was alone, scared, and not feeling myself, and she helped make me feel safe, heard, and a little less alone.
She constantly checked in on me, continued to ask if I needed anything or wanted anything. She brought me food a few times since I was there all day and made sure I had plenty to eat. I've never had an ER experience like that before, and I'm so grateful she was there that day. It's because of nurses like her that scary situations seem a little easier to deal with.

Thank you, Eva, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
