Evan is very attentive to his patients and others that need help. He has a very calm and caring nature.   His compassion for people, working with patients, and helping others is encompassed by his strength to continue to learn more and better himself.
At the clinical site, the Director of Nursing watched Evan go above and beyond his duties of being a student nurse when a patient that was not assigned to him needed help. She had asked to have someone check on the patient, Evan chimed in and stated that he would help.   He went in to see the patient, helped with a current request for the patient and ended up helping the patient straighten up the room, made sure there was water at the bedside, etc., all while using proper precautions for contact isolation. The Director was so impressed she wanted to honor him before his peers. We were all very proud of him for stepping in.   He has expressed his interest in working in the emergency room when he gets out of school. He will be an asset to any position he is assigned.
